October 4th Cleanup Project.

Join other civic minded groups in Waipahu to help clean up.

In the historic town of Waipahu, near West Lock, there is an EXTREME CRISIS!! Illegal dumping has created an unsightly and dangerous environment for the residents. This EXTEME MESS also puts the nearby waterway and marsh, Kapukahi Stream, at risk. Join us as we “get trashy” to make a difference!

Who: McCain “Kokua” Campaign and YOU
What: Extreme Site Makeover ---- Community Clean up
Where: Illegal Dumping Zone – in Waipahu near West Lock –directions below
When: Saturday, Oct. 4, 9 AM to Noon

Why: To serve our state and our nation by taking care of our land.
What to Wear: McCain T-shirt, old clothes, work gloves, close-toed shoes, sunscreen and a hat
What to Bring: Heavy duty trashbags, rake, water bottle, muscles!,
& friends and family.( *pick-up trucks & wheelbarrow appreciated!)

Directions to site: Ewa on H-1 past Pearl City, take Waipahu exit Ewa on Farrington Hwy, past Waipahu H.S. on left, turn left on Pupupuhi (Waipahu Intermediate school on left corner). Go makai on Pupupuhi, at dead end turn left into Pupu Ole mini park. Park in park or on street, walk through big steel gate and go right. Call Tom for parking kokua at 758-7324. Signs will be posted.
