Here's awesome news. Oahu had 52 sign-wavers fronting the mauka side of the Capitol on Beretania yesterday from 4p-6p. It was a chicken skin sight, almost a full city block of enthusiastic volunteers. Jan McKinney has done an outstanding job organizing the groups in communities across Oahu every day through the election. We have several more sign-waving events today in Kapolei, Mililani and the big one downtown on Ward and King Streets.

MIAMI - One thing Barack Obama does know — he can beat his Republican rival John McCain in a dancing contest. In an appearance on the Ellen DeGeneres show via satellite from Miami, Obama stood before a crowd of cheering supporters and showed off his dance moves to James Brown’s big hit Get Up Offa That Thing.

But I’m convinced I’m a better dancer than John McCain, he said about his 72-year-old rival in the race for the White House.

That's probably true. But that’s because, unlike John McCain, Barack Obama has never learned the ropes.

7-year Hanoi POW Jerry Coffee explains the ropes torture he, McCain and other U.S. prisoners survived in North Vietnam’s Hoa Lo prison:

You’re sitting on the floor with your feet locked in an iron shackle. They (the Communist interrogators) tie your arms tightly behind you above the elbows. The long rope then is thrown over the front of your shoulders and tied to your ankles. Next, the guard pushes his foot into your back to cinch the rope so tightly that finally your ears are between your feet. The cartilage in your chest rips apart, your shoulders dislocate, and the circulation is cut off. Next, the rope is thrown over a big hook on the ceiling and you’re hoisted up where you hang like a tether ball for as long as they want you there. This doesn’t help your unhealed broken arms and legs. Ironically, the pain isn’t over after you’re finally cut down. When the blood starts to flow into your extremities, it’s excruciating. You can’t hold your spoon for days after.

Bad dancer John McCain learned the ropes after his ejection from a burning jet.

After he survived North Vietnamese doctors trying unsuccessfully to set one of his two shattered arms for 90 minutes …without anesthesia. After he survived both arms having to set themselves – at odd angles – in a filthy cell – in solitary. After he survived surgery on his shattered knee, during which - come to find out - the Communist docs had cut all the ligaments and cartilage.

Bad dancer John McCain learned the ropes after he survived a shoulder socket smashed beyond repair by a rifle butt. After he said No to early release. No to signing a propaganda statement. No to co-operating.

After learning the ropes bad dancer John McCain survived rehab on knees long frozen at a 5 degree flex and survived 8 months, two hours a day of manipulation mobilization therapy – without anesthesia - till they finally bent 90 degrees.

Being a better dancer than John McCain wouldn’t be much to boast about if Barack Obama were to ever learn the ropes.

Obama's ties to ACORN are a hot topic in recent days and the more you look the more you see. In fact, I think I've found something I agree with Obama on - the ACORN truly doesn't fall far from the tree! Here are Obama's ties to that radical, subversive group .... ACORN.

Can the ACORN story, Ayers, Rezko & Wright be enough for McCain to win this election? If the stock market stabilizes (it was up over 900 points today) Dick Morris thinks so. He's hardly ever wrong.

And considering what we know about Obama's lack of truthfulness regarding his involvement with ACORN, is it possible that he's received illegal campaign contributions? You decide:

As everyone knows Barack Obama is not a moderate as he now tries to portray himself. McCain "Kokua" Campaign Kick off

John McCain calls upon us to "dedicate our lives to a cause greater than self." He has been an inspiring example of this philosophy. In keeping with this call, his Hawaii supporters announce the John McCain "Kokua" Campaign. It is the anti big money, big lavish party, big influence of donors approach to politics. It is in stark contrast to the way McCain's opponent chooses to spend his time in our islands, but it fits into McCain's belief in honoring commitments to our country, our state and the people who have to work hard to make ends meet in Hawaii's over taxed environment, with skyrocketing costs for energy, food, and doing business. Cindy McCain has long been an advocate for children everywhere and for their health care needs in particular. She founded and ran the American Voluntary Medical Team (AVMT) from 1988-1995. AVMT provided emergency medical surgical care to impoverished children throughout the world. Cindy led 55 medical missions to third world and war-torn countries during AVMT's seven years of existence. In recent years, Cindy has dedicated the bulk of her volunteer time to three international organizations; The HALO Trust, Operation Smile and CARE.

In Barrack Obama's own words, his defense proposals if he were President could leave Hawaii in a very vulnerable position. We are within striking distance of North Korea which has developed weapons that can reach our islands.

Honolulu Star-Bulletin reported this week that Isle Dems are so sure of an Obama landslide in Hawaii they're headed to Nevada to help him win there. We say GREAT, GO! John McCain and his supporters are committed to helping bring to Hawaii - not another state - the kind of "change " that only a man of John McCain's background, leadership and experience can bring both here and to our nation.
